Vitis vinifera is a perennial, woody climbing vine; cultivated as a fruit plant; freshly picked fruits are used in industry. To obtain the extract, the dried skin of red grapes is used, it is crushed, extracted with water, the resulting liquid extract is settled, purified and concentrated, then the thick extract is dried.
